Smart Grid Northwest 2017 Annual Meeting

The 2017 Smart Grid Northwest Annual Meeting featured smart city updates from Itron, Avista and WSU, plus tours of the Urbanova initiative.

Industry leaders joined us in Spokane on November 8, 2017 for a deep dive into the expanding role of electric grid providers in smart cities initiatives. Avista and Itron presented progress in diverse smart cities solutions in Spokane with the Urbanova initiative. Participants took walking tours of initial projects on the WSU Spokane campus and visited vantage points for what is soon to come. Member organizations and non-members alike joined this discussion and hands-on tour to explore how the evolution of electric utilities can help foster diverse solutions for cities and their various stakeholders.
